Village Library extends services, hours
The opening ceremony of the new expansion of the Village Library took place this October 13th on Versailles Road. The new section enables the creation of a room for teens, reading, more space for the computer lab, and a fourth conference room larger than the previous one.
“The success of this library has been so great that, shortly after its inauguration in 2004, it already exceeded the number of users from all branches of the library, so we had to listen to the staff and to the community. This expansion is the result of the continued success of the Village Library,” said Kathleen Imhoff, executive director of the Public Library, during the inauguration.
Under the umbrella of the Lexington Hispanic Association, Biblioteca Hispana was founded.
The hours have also expanded:
• Monday-Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 9:30 – 5 p.m.
• Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
